Getting around Corfu

By blue busses
There are local bus routes to practically every destination within 10 km from Corfu Town, leaving from the station at Saroco square almost every 15 minutes during the summer time. These are the blue buses!

By green-white busses.

Hiring a car


Car is the most popular way to get around and there are numerous car rental companies around the island, but cars may be difficult to come by in high season; it is best to book with an established international rental company prior to arrival, or you can rent a Car directly with us. By Mopeds and bikes
Mopeds and motorbikes are easily available for hire also. However if yiu decide to rent one, since the roads here in Corfu, are not so good, then please insist on a crash helmet and please never drink and ride.

By taxi
The island has plenty of taxis. You will recognize them from their deep blue colour and the sign on top of the vehicle. They will get you anywhere at reasonable rates. By horse drawn carriage
Enjoy the ride in the Old Town (mostly Venetian, started building at the 16th century) in a traditional Corfiot coach, drawn by horses.

By boat
You can always get around Corfu (literally) participating in small cruises that take place every day leaving from anywhere you are.
