You can find two beaches in Corfu by the name Agios Georgios. One is in the north of Corfu and the other in the south. Agios Georgios ( South Corfu) is also known as St George. Both beaches are wide, have easy-on-the-feet sand and are safely shallow for children. Sand dunes and a lake is also to be found there. 

Agios Georgios (South coast) is popular with couples and families wanting to avoid the big crowds and traffic. It is located 20 miles south of Corfu Town and Corfu airport.

There are around 6 miles of beach in Agios Georgios including the busier south beach and the resort runs along a parallel road and is bordered by olive groves and cypress trees that benefit from the winter rains.

Paragliding, snorkelling and jet skiing are some of the water sports you can enjoy in Agios Georgios. Boat trips are available from the beach.
