Bird watching

Due to the islandʼs nature, one can find a large variation of birds. That gives you an excellent opportunity to observe them!

Throughout the years, many type of birds have been spotted on the island. The most probable places to spot them are Aharavi, Ag. Stefanos, Lake Korrisou (south), Almyros beach, Angelokastro and few in Corfu town.

Also, a must for birders would be mount Pantokrator and Lefkimi.

Some of the birds spotted here on the island: Flycatcher (Spotted), Greenfinch, Owl (Scops), Shrike (Woodchat), Heron (Grey), Kingfisher, Linnet, Pipit (Tree), Hoopoe, House Martin, Jay (Eurasian), Kestrel etc.

Just have your binoculars with you, you never know when a bird could pop-out!
