Sidari is to be found at the north end of Corfu, about 40 km from Corfu (Korfu) town the capital of the island. Sidari Corfu is a busy little town which attracts many visitors due to its natural beauty the long sandy beaches, the Canal d Amour; (channel of love). The Canal d' Amour is an area of eroding sandstone cliffs that have formed several tiny sand and shingle coves reached by paths and even ladders. The legend has it that if a couple swims together in its water they will be together forever! Sidari nightlife is definitely on the lively side with a lot of tavernas offering Greek and British food as well as innumerable cafes, music bars and clubs. Sidari has plenty of shops that open until late.
While on holiday in Sidari take the opportunity to walk along the cliffs and explore inland to find quaint unspoilt Corfu villages. Originally Sidari used to be a small fishing village with not that many inhabitants. Today it is a large commercial holidays resort that can offer accommodation to 14,000 people. Over the 80's tourism arrived in Corfu and Sidari became an immediate "favourite" with the visitors. This was mostly since then the resort never stopped developing and more tourists arrive every year.
